Diploma in Education in Training (DET course) for the teaching aspirants



The DET course provides the candidate with a level-5 qualification necessary to work in the sector of lifelong learning in the position of full-time teacher. The qualification allows the candidate to seek equal opportunities in Further Education (FE) as well as secondary schools. ·         A level 2 certification that states the qualifying skills of the candidate in English and Mathematics at the least or a level 3 certification in case the candidate wants to take on the units for teaching numeracy and literacy
·         Specific training providers may have separate tests designed to put the candidate through a screening process to ensure he/she has the sufficient skills for demonstrating the required levels of ICT skills, numeracy and literacy before offering them admission
·         It is necessary for the candidate to meet a few other non-academic mandates and includes a check on Disclosure and Barring Service along with a declaration of the criminal record of the candidate.
